We’re working with a highly respected, mid-tier CPA and advisory firm in Raleigh that is seeking to hire a Tax Manager with experience across Individual, Partnership, C & S Corp, and Trust taxation. Your Role

As a Tax Manager, you’ll be hands-on in compliance, planning, consulting, and research. You’ll also take a leadership role on engagements and contribute to mentoring and developing junior staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, trusts, and estates
  • Conducting in-depth tax research and identifying planning opportunities
  • Monitoring and interpreting tax law changes
  • Managing engagement teams and overseeing deliverables
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships across various industries
  • Supporting staff development through mentoring and technical guidance

The Team Structure

You’ll be joining a technically strong and well-structured team:

  • 2x Tax Partners
  • 1x Senior Manager (on track for Partnership)
  • 1x Manager (your role)
  • 1x Highly Experienced Senior
  • 2x Seniors
  • 3x Staff

You’ll have full support to develop as a leader and step into the Senior Manager role in the near future.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • CPA license
  • 5+ years of relevant public accounting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in Individual, Partnership, S-Corp, and/or C-Corp tax
  • Experience reviewing complex tax returns
  • A collaborative approach and desire to grow into leadership

Ambitious Senior Associates on the cusp of Manager level will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $160,000 base salary
  • Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus
  • 10% annual bonus (consistently paid)
  • >15% commission on new business
  • 44 total days off (6 weeks PTO + 14 holidays)
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
